Hand made by Venetian glassmakers for De Vecchi Milano 1935, the glass Mult8 is a product developed in collaboration with Casarialto Milano, which unexpectedly reinterprets the iconic shape of the T8, the well-know candelabra designed by Piero De Vecchi in 1947 and awarded with the diploma of Honour during the eighth Triennale of Milan.
The glass takes sinuous forms thanks to a totally handcrafted, almost artistic process, which brings an apparently fragile and ethereal raw material to be shaped in a well-defined shape.
To give shape to the body of the candlestick, the glass tube is expertly worked by skilled hands being slowly heated to flame up to 3400 °C, quickly modeled in a few seconds and wound on itself, before resuming its original features.
Each piece is made by hand, therefore small differences in shape between objects that should be identical must be considered a guarantee of uniqueness and testimony of precious craftsmanship.
The proposed color palette allows once again to discover the various personalities of the Candelabra Mult8 and appreciate the timeless modernity of the original project.
